SAFETELMI 40MG TABLET contains Telmisartan which belongs to the group of medicines called Angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It is used to treat essential hypertension in adults. High blood pressure that is not caused by any other condition is called as essential hypertension. It is characterized by symptoms such as early morning headaches, nosebleeds, irregular heartbeat, vision changes, buzzing in the ears, fatigue, nausea and chest pain. It is also used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack or stroke in adults who are known to have a reduced or blocked blood supply to the heart or legs and had a stroke or with a high risk of diabetes.
